USB 2.0

Hardware compatible with Macintosh

Part Number:  50950                                                            PCI-FireWire Adapter

FireWire, also known as IEEE 1394, is an industry standard for high-speed peripheral communication. Developed by Apple, FireWire is lauded for its easy of use, high data throughput and chainability: up to 63 FireWire devices can be connected together.

With FireWire, high-speed peripherals can be connected externally, eliminating the need to install complicated internal hardware. Jumpers, switches and IRQ assignments are things of the past, as installation is now as simple as connecting the device to your computer. FireWire allows digital camcorders, external hard drives and high-speed scanners to truly perform at their best. Our FireWire interface provides the necessary link between your FireWire device and your PC. All you need is a PC with an open PCI slot, Windows 98/2000 and the desire to bring high-speed peripheral connectivity to your desktop.
The PCI-FireWire Adapter card will work with MacOS 9.0+, all drivers are supplied by Apple.
